A California Christmas

Often winter weddings consist of bundled up guests and snow capped mountains; however, not in Southern California where the temperature slightly drops and the sky is still sunny. This winter beach wedding at Laguna Beach is simply stunning! I love how Lindye Galloway Events and Jessica Claire Photography captured winter love California style!

A Rustic and Collaborative Thanksgiving

While it was once customary for the host or hostess to prepare the entire Thanksgiving feast themselves, these days, it’s far more common for everyone to chip in by bringing a dish to share or helping set the scene.

This year, we wanted to create new traditions around our Thanksgiving table: a simple, sophisticated, clean version of classic Americana. The decor was pared down, purposeful and sustainable. We worked with our hands, made things at home and added some meaning back to our celebration of this quintessential American holiday.

Everyone brought something unique to the table: A repurposed linen runner, pies made from scratch and vintage china added warmth and personality. Setting the table wasn’t a task accomplished behind the scenes. We collaborated to create the space together. Our celebration didn’t consist only of turkey, stuffing and obligation, but was about the process of making the holiday our own.Jeni Maus

To create your own colorful cozy bottles you will need:
Spool of Yarn (length depends upon bottle size and shape)
Bottles (any shape or size)

Directions:
Take a strand of yarn and hold it to the bottle vertically.
Wrap the same strand of yarn around bottle tightly and cross over the vertical end multiple times to ensure it is secure.  You can keep the distance between each wrap as close or as far apart as you would like for desired look and transparency.
As you approach the top of the bottle, take the yarn and loop around the top twice and then bring the strand of yarn back down and continue to wrap around the base of bottle.  Make sure to cross over the strand that came back down from the top of the bottle to ensure it remains secure.
Continue to wrap the bottle until you have the coverage you desire.
Tuck the end of the yarn under itself to secure.
Don’t forget to accessorize your bottles with broaches, such as the yarn flower broach show in the shoot.
